A free AI news briefing published every morning at 8 AM KST: ten stories from Korea and abroad, summarized in both Korean and English, each with a take on why it matters and a daily read across all of them.

What this is

Daily AI Thread selects ten AI stories every morning at 8 AM KST, summarizes each in Korean and English, and adds a short take on why it matters. Above the list sits a daily insight that reads across all ten at once. It is free, with no paid tier and no advertising.

How stories are selected

Stories come from 12 RSS feeds spanning industry press, official lab announcements, technical outlets, Korean media, and community sources, filtered to the last 24 hours. Candidates are ranked by a combined score of source weight, cross-outlet corroboration, and recency, with a cap of three per source. Official first-party announcements are guaranteed at least two slots. When several outlets cover the same event, only one is published and the rest appear beneath it as related coverage. Links already published in a past edition are never selected again.

Facts and interpretation are kept separate

Every item is split into a Summary and a Why It Matters block. The summary carries only what the original reports; the second block is this site's judgment about it. Readers should always be able to tell reported fact from our interpretation. Every item links to the original so you can check it yourself.

Quality controls and limits

If an original cannot be read, that slot is swapped for a reserve candidate; if none is available, the edition simply runs shorter than ten. Promotional posts and community self-submissions (Show HN and similar) are filtered out at collection time. Rarely, an item may be written from an RSS summary alone when the original stays unreachable — those avoid definitive phrasing. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will correct the affected edition.

Publishing and archive

Published daily at 8 AM KST. Past editions keep permanent per-date URLs and are never removed. On Sundays a weekly recap re-synthesizes the through-line of that week. Jargon that appears in a briefing accumulates in the glossary, and stories are classified into twelve topics you can browse separately. An RSS feed is available.

Independence

No outlet or company pays for placement. There is no advertising, no sponsored content, and no affiliate links. No publication receives standing preference; source weighting exists to stop high-volume outlets from crowding out everyone else. Subscriber email addresses are used only to deliver the briefing and are never shared or sold.
